Quitman couple found dead at home

WOOD COUNTY (KYTX) - On Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at approximately 11 a.m., the Wood County Sheriff's Office received a call on 911 in regards to two persons being found deceased in their home.

A family member advised that he had arrived at the residence, located at 1020 N. Hwy 37 in Quitman shortly before 11 a.m. after being requested to do so by the owner. Once inside, the caller stated he located the occupants whom were both deceased.

The Wood County Sheriff and investigators arrived on scene a few minutes after the initial call to 911. Both deceased people died of apparent gunshot wounds.

They were identified as 85-year-old Thomas Williams and his 85-year-old wife Mary Williams.

After investigation, the case has been determined to be a murder suicide.

No other details are being released.
