UPDATE; All Hopkins County schools placed under lockdown

HOPKINS COUNTY (KYTX) - Today marks Day 3 for the search of 2 inmates who escaped from the Hopkins County Jail Tuesday morning. Sgt. Cummings with the Hopkins County Sheriff's Department tells CBS19 all Hopkins County schools are under lockdown this morning.

There have been lots of tips about possible sightings of the black, 2010 Saturn SUV that was reported stolen Wednesday afternoon, but they've all turned out to be negative. The Hopkins County Sheriff's Department encourages people to inform them of any possible sightings connected to the escaped inmates.


HOPKINS COUNTY (KYTX) -- The search continues for 2 inmates who escaped from the Hopkins County Jail Tuesday morning.   Police believe they may be driving a black, 2010 Saturn SUV that was reported stolen Wednesday afternoon.  The sheriff's office says these Brian Allen Tucker and John Marlin King were in the recreation yard when they escaped through a gap in the jail's fence. Tucker is accused of murder. There is a $5,000 reward offered for information leading to their arrest. The stolen vehicle is a black 2010 Saturn Vue with Texas license plate CR6-D425.

Anyone with any leads is asked to call the Hopkins County Sheriff's Department at (903) 438-4040. Lake Country Crimestoppers is also offering the reward for any information leading to the arrest of these two men. You can contact them at (903) 885-2020.
