UPDATE: TYLER (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) -  Police officials now say the people involved are Robert E. Lee students returning back to school after attending classes at TJC.

Robert E. Lee is no longer on lockdown, and according to TISD officials, two students are being questioned by Tyler police in the principal's office.

"We had reports that the vehicle was traveling around the loop and the driver was holding what appeared to be a knife out the window. However, we have determined that it was actually a tree saw, and no one has come forward saying the driver threatened them in any way." – Don Martin

TYLER (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) - Tyler police are swarming the Robert E. Lee High School campus after reports of a man armed with a knife.

The campus is on lockdown, a spokeswoman for Tyler ISD said shortly after 1:45 p.m.

Don Martin, Tyler police spokesman, said the man may have been involved in a road rage type incident.

"We have found the vehicle believed to have been involved, but we have not found anyone around the vehicle," he said.

Dawn Parnell, Tyler ISD spokeswoman, said they believe it was not a knife the man had but "a long tree saw."

Police are still looking for the man.
