Longview barber shop owner shot during robbery

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - A local barber shop owner in Longview was shot during a robbery Thursday night.

Just before 8 p.m., Longview Police were dispatched to a shooting in the 2000 block of South High Street. Officers were told by the victim that he was locking up his barber shop when a man pulled up in a maroon Toyota or Mazda 4 door 90's model car and ran up to him with a handgun demanding money.

The suspect was dressed in a ski mask, tan jacket with a hood, and blue jeans.

The suspect shot the owner one time and pointed the handgun at him again, while continuing to demand money.

The owner threw down his money and the suspect picked it up and fled the scene.

The owner was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries
