2 men arrested in connection with 2012 burglary of Wells City Hall building

Cherokee County (KYTX) - Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the 2012 burglary of the City Hall Building in Wells.

On Friday, April 5, 2013, Cherokee County Sheriff's Department investigators arrested 47-year-old William Todd Pounds and 27-year-old Joshua Kerry Rains at their home in Wells.

On November 26, 2012 deputies were called to the scene at City Hall, where the front entrance glass door had been broken and the suspects had allegedly entered the building.

Once inside, undisclosed amount of cash, checks and money orders had been stolen along with damaging some of the contents.

Pounds and Rains were charged with Burglary of A Building which is a State Jail Felony offense and up to two years in confinement.

Both men could also be fined up to $10,000.
