Navarro College report regarding Kilgore pepper spray incident

Posted: Updated:

(KYTX) - Navarro College Chief of Police Kraig Hawkins has released a 29 page report in response to several Navarro basketball players who were pepper-sprayed at a Kilgore basketball game.

Navarro College emailed this statement:

As you may recall, on February 23, there was an incident at the conclusion of the Navarro-Kilgore basketball game. Navarro College patiently, and purposely, waited until Kilgore College concluded their internal investigation before releasing the statements collected from our Chief of Police, Kraig Hawkins, and District President Dr. Richard Sanchez the following workdays after the event.

Dr. Sanchez believes Chief Hawkin's report describes the incident in a much more realistic and accurate fashion not portrayed in Kilgore's March 27th review.
