UPDATE: PITTSBURG/CAMP COUNTY (KYTX) - Last night troopers obtained an arrest warrant for 19 year-old Omar Robles of Pittsburg, charging Robles with Criminal Negligent Homicide

Camp County deputies served the warrant on Robles.  The arrest comes after the investigation into a one vehicle traffic crash that caused the death of 17 year-old Loida Trinidad also of Pittsburg.  The crash injured four additional teens.  Four other occupants were not injured.  The crash occurred Monday, April 15th  on FM 1520 about 150 Ft west of CR 2127 at approximately 9:54 AM.

Investigating troopers believe Robles was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the 2007 Toyota Sienna he was driving, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a bridge guardrail, ejecting a passenger.    Pending the completion of the investigation, the case will be turned over to the Camp County District Attorney’s office.

Erick Villanueva says he rode in the passenger seat with 8 of his friends to the lake Monday --- but he says the mini van they were in, lost control.
"My friend lost control of the mini van, and the breaks gave out... and we started sliding and spinning. We hit the back part of the mini van, and the trunk flew open and 2 flew out the back, and one passed away" - Villanueava
Villanueva says the van hit this guard rail and spun.
DPS says the impact threw 16-year old Loida Trinidad out of the back window... Killing her.
DPS says the accident happened just before 11 Monday morning on Pistle Mills Road -- at time when they should have been in school.
" I am trying to get through it, I went to her viewing today to go see her... and started tearing up, and just broke down" - Villanueva
"The school superintendent says the loss has effected the entire student body, and is doing what it can to help students cope with the loss" Kevin Boyce
"The reality has set in today, so we brought in some youth pastors and counselors to work with the students" - Superintendent, Judy Pollan
Pittsburg ISD students wore white Tuesday to honor Loida, dropped flowers at the wreck site, and came together to support each other through the loss of a friend.
