(CBS) - New research suggests women in their 40s are still getting mammograms, even though a government task force recommended against them. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force triggered controversy nearly 4 years ago after recommending most women start routine screening for breast cancer at age 50, instead of 40. Now a new study from Brigham and Women's Hospital finds mammogram rates in the U.S. have not declined among women in their forties. The American Cancer Society recommends average risk women start mammograms at age 40.

(CBS) - A bacteria linked to raw milk and poultry is causing more cases of food poisoning. The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention says Campylobacter cases jumped 14 percent over the last five years. Federal health leaders say overall food poisoning cases from most other bugs, including salmonella and E. coli have remained the same.

(CBS) - Community gardens may encourage people to eat more vegetables and keep their weight down. New research from the University of Utah shows people who participate in community gardening are less likely to be overweight or obese compared to their neighbors who don't garden.
