UPDATE: The Missing child, a 7 year old boy, has been located and is safe.

TYLER (KYTX) - Tyler Police are searching for a missing 7-year-old Tyler boy. Police tell CBS 19 that the boy told his 11-12 year old sister earlier today that he was not coming home tonight, so they do not suspect the boy has been abducted; however they are worried that it is late and he has not returned.

From the Tyler Police Department:

On 04-22-2013 at approximately 8:40pm, the Tyler Police Department received a call in reference to a missing 7 year old child.  The child, Benito Moore, was last seen at 1326 Kenilworth around 7 p.m. where he was playing with friends.  He left that residence and was believed to be walking home to 1419 Hawthorne.  When he didn't arrive home by dark, his family notified the police department.

Benito Moore is described as a Hispanic male, 4' tall, 70lbs, wearing a gold shirt and khaki pants.  A picture is attached.

Officers are currently contacting family and friends as well as searching the surrounding neighborhood.  The Tyler Police Department is requesting that anyone who knows where Benito may be to call the Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1000 immediately.
