Tiger escapes, heads to ladies restroom

Posted: Updated:

SALINA, KS (CNN) - A Kansas woman takes a bathroom break during a circus act and comes face to face with a tiger.

The tiger show had just finished. Jenna Krehbiel thought it would be a good time to head to the bathroom and be back before the next show. While she was gone, Leah the tiger decided she needed a break, too and headed to the women's bathroom. That's where the two came face to face -- close enough to touch.

"My first thought was okay, you need to be calm, turn around, walk out, you'll be fine. And that's what I did," says Krehbiel.

Security from the Bicentennial Center says the tiger was on the loose for a few minutes and no one was hurt. Krehbiel's daughter only had a couple of questions to ask after the encounter ... one -- if the tiger washed its hands, and if the tiger had any popcorn.
