LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - An East Texas judge added conditions to the bond set on a Longview murder suspect, who was re-arrested this morning.

According to the Gregg County District Clerk's Office, Gregg County 124th District Judge Alfonso Charles added five bond conditions for Cedric Bernard Carldwell. Carldwell, 44, is accused of fatally shooting 63-year-old Huey Lee Gray on April 14 in the 800 block of Walnut Street in Longview's Stamper Park neighborhood. Carldwell was arrested a day later, but he was released on $175,000 bond.

Charles, who pre-set Carldwell's bond prior to the April 15 arrest, did not announce a change in the bond amount, but he did add conditions to the bond, the clerk's office said. At the request of the District Attorney's Office, Carldwell must now submit to electronic monitoring and obey a 6 p.m.-6 a.m. home curfew; stay away from the 800 block of Walnut Street; not possess a firearm; and not have contact with the two men Longview police say witnessed Gray's murder. One of the men - Tony Sebron - is Carldwell' nephew, according to Carldwell's arrest complaint.

Carldwell attended this morning's hearing. While his bond was not increased, Gregg County sheriff's deputies arrested him on a new charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon stemming from the April 14 shooting, according to the clerk's office.
