Longview man arrested for sexual abuse of two children

Posted: Updated:

LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) -   A Longview man is in jail on a half-million dollars bond accused of  having ongoing sexual relations with two children for more than three years.

Investigators say the suspect was 29-years-old and the kids were under age 7 when the alleged abuse began.

33-year-old Robert Bryan Gribble is charged with two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child. According to an arrest complaint we obtained this afternoon, two children were interviewed at the Gregg County Children's Advocacy Center Wednesday.

They told investigators that Gribble had abused them dozens of times dating back to
2009. Both children are younger than 11. Detectives say when  they interviewed Gribble Wednesday, he confessed to the abuse.

Gribble now faces up to 99 years or life in prison if he's convicted of the crimes. According to the affidavit, one of the children made an outcry about the abuse to someone at her school Tuesday. The school contacted the child's mother who then called police.
