LONGVIEW (KYTX) - A Longview business was recently sited for selling alcohol to a minor.

On Tuesday, April 23, Longview Police Department along with Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and Longview Partners in Prevention conducted off-premise minor stings at 15 area retailers to check for compliance with Texas law prohibiting the sale of alcohol to minor.

The individual that sold the alcohol is listed in an offense report for "making alcohol available to a minor". This offense is a class "A" misdemeanor and the report will be filed with the Gregg County District Attorney's Office for prosecution. TABC also issued an administrative citation to the business.
