LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - A Longview man is hospitalized and possibly paralyzed from the waist down after he was struck with a vehicle driven by his wife, police reported this morning.

Forty-four-year-old Chelsea Connor Allen, of Longview, is in the Gregg County Jail on $50,000 bond this afternoon.

According to Longview police, a patrol officer was responding to And aggravated assault call at the American dream in the 2200 block of E. Marshall Ave. when they found a man crawling across the parking lot of the motel. The man told police that his wife hit him with a vehicle and left the scene, police said.

The man was taken to Longview Regional Medical Center, where doctors said he did not respond to pain stimulus tests and may be paralyzed, according to a court complaint.

Police arrested Allen a short time later at her home in the 1500 block of Alpine Street. Allen told police that she was having an argument at the motel with her husband and he fell, and she left the scene.
