SMITH COUNTY (KYTX) - The Texas Department of Public Safety says all lanes of Interstate 20 are back open after the 18-wheeler crash that blocked traffic for hours.
The crash happened Friday afternoon near Barber Rd. in Smith County.

East bound lanes were completely shut down as emergency crews worked to clear an 18-wheeler wreck.

Troopers say for an unknown reason the driver of an 18-wheeler traveling west bound drove off the roadway. That 18-wheeler cleared the concrete median and landed in the east bound lanes, hitting another 18-wheeler and two other cars.
No one was seriously hurt, but a big mess was left behind. Hazmat crews are tasked with cleaning up the oil and diesel left in the road.
DPS has been diverting traffic away from I-20 since it happened around 1 p.m.

Troopers say the 18-wheeler was transporting pillows.

The driver and two other people were taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center as a precaution.

KYTX CBS 19 will have more information as it becomes available.
