We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for its workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

TYLER (KYTX) - The goal to feed hundreds of children will be met thanks to money raised for the "No Hungry Children Festival" held Saturday at Bergfeld Park.

It's not always easy to hit the ball off the tee, but 2-year-old Easton Griffin was able to pull it off.

Luke Griffin, Easton's father said it is easy to give to good cause.

"Not only do we get to have fun, but it teaches great values," said Griffin.

He said they are values he and his wife are already teaching Easton.

"Talk to him about why it's important to give back."

All of the money raised at the No Hungry Children Festival will go directly toward feeding hungry children. So for each ticket that is sold for a dollar to play games and buy food will end up buying food for a whole week for one hungry child.

Two years ago, No Hungry Children was formed to help feed hungry children in Nairobi, Kenya. The T-shirts, tickets, food and vendor sales at the festival will continue filling empty bellies.

"Five days a week. they get two meals a day and it costs one dollar to feed one child for a week," said No Hungry Children volunteer Brandon Smith.

He said, compared to last year's festival the support this year has tripled.

"It's very humbling," Smith said. "It shows we have a big God that cares about kids."
