Christian based group to send portable beds to Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:

LINDALE (KYTX) - Youth With a Mission and their partners Mercy Works will be sending "World Beds" to Oklahoma. The Christian based group MercyWorks outreach organization typically works on international catastrophes or aid, but they often work domestically as well.

MercyWorks only had a few beds stashed away just in case, and with the tornadoes in Oklahoma being so close to home, it is a great opportunity to help by giving the beds they have and work toward getting more beds.

"But we pray and ask the lord and it just felt like we had these beds here already.WE have 75 of them.and we thought well that is something that we heard the people need right now, they're sleeping on church floors and things like that," said Debbie Lascelles with MercyWorks.

MercyWorks also plans to send groups to Oklahoma for grief counseling.YWAM and MercyWorks will be taking the beds to Oklahoma Wednesday morning.
