We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for its workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

TYLER (KYTX) -  At FRESH by Brookshire's, they don't call themselves employees, they're partners.  The folks behind the Freshie Fit Challenge are hoping that spirit of teamwork and encouragement will make this a team effort to get healthier.

"Weight loss is so much more effective when we work with friends," says Rachel Trammell, who is taking the Freshie Fit Challenge.
Rachel Trammell works in Wellness at FRESH.  She's had tremendous results with weight loss in the past, so this 10 week challenge is right up her alley.

"I lost 140 pounds by changing my diet and adding a workout system to my life.  It was over a 5 year period, so nothing drastic or too fast," says Rachel.

But it changed Rachel's life... She feels better and has much more energy.  She wants to help her fellow partners achieve that same success.

"I would love to be a motivator for people, who maybe have not had success in the past. People have major problems losing weight because they are depending on a diet or a specific plan instead of a lifestyle change," says Rachel.

Rachel, who is a vegetarian and already eats clean, is using the Freshie Fit Challenge to take her health and fitness to another level.  "My personal goals are to lose a few pounds. I have a number in mind," says Rachel,

Each week the partners will come here to the FRESH Pharmacy to weigh in and track their progress.  The Freshies' weight loss will be based on a percentage of weight loss to be fair.
Rachel hopes that small changes like drinking more water, eating more vegetables and steering clear of processed foods will make a big difference for the health of all the FRESH partners.
"We lead by example.  We are doing it first, so we can show our customers, guests that it is possible and that wellness is not as hard as you think.

The FRESH team is working on some incentives for the Freshie Fit program.  There will be one man and one woman who will walk away the winners, but really, it's a win, win for those who lose weight and find the healthy lifestyle they were looking for when they signed up for the challenge.
