Silver Alert issued for Lufkin man remains in effect

Lufkin Police Department:

UPDATE: LUFKIN (KYTX) - The "Silver Alert" issued by Lufkin Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety for Arthur Henry Foster of Lufkin remains in effect. 

Mr. Foster, a 79-year-old, white male who is 6'04" tall, weighs 250 pounds, and has brown eyes and gray hair, left his Lufkin residence at approximately 4:30 AM June 01, 2013, in a silver or gray 1997 Dodge Dakota truck displaying Texas license plate BR56573.  Mr. Foster has diabetes, heart problems, and high blood pressure, and his family believes him to be in the early stages of Alzheimer's or Dementia.  He has not taken his medications since May 31, 2013.  Mr. Foster was last seen wearing a light-blue, button-up shirt and black pants, and he might be wearing a gray hat. 

Sunday, Lufkin Police Department investigated two reported sightings of Mr. Foster -- a Sunday sighting of the truck in the Arlington area and a Saturday sighting (reported Sunday) of Mr. Foster in the Kilgore area.  Neither sighting was accurate. 

Today, Lufkin PD detectives went to Charlie's Country Corner, located at 619 N Home Street in Corrigan, attempting to verify a report received today of a Saturday morning sighting.  Through interviewing store employees and viewing video captured by the store's security cameras, the detectives confirmed that Mr. Foster arrived at the store June 01 at 5:14 AM and left at 5:23 AM.  He was alone when he arrived at and left the store.  He drove south on Highway 59 when he left the store. 

Anyone who encounters Author Henry Foster, and anyone who has seen him since June 01, 2013, is urged to contact the Lufkin Police Department at (936) 633-0356.

The Lufkin Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety have issued a "Silver Alert" for Arthur Henry Foster of Lufkin.

Mr. Foster is a 79 year old white male, 6'04"/250 lbs, with Brown eyes and gray hair. He left his residence in Lufkin at approximately 4:30 AM on June 1, 2013 in a silver/gray 1997 Dodge pickup bearing Texas plate# BR56573 in an unknown direction.

Mr. Foster is believed to be in the early stages of Alzheimer's/Dementia, is Diabetic and has heart problems and high blood pressure. He has not had his medication since May 31, 2013, and is believed to be in physical danger due to not having his medication with him.

Mr. Foster was last seen wearing  a light blue button up shirt, black pants and possibly a gray hat.  Anyone who has seen Mr. Foster is urged to contact the Lufkin Police Department immediately at (936) 633-0356.
