TYLER (KYTX) -Two 16-year-olds have been arrested in connection to the shooting death of Joshua McGill.

The 21-year-old Whitehouse man was shot in the back in the parking lot of the Kensington Place apartments Monday night during a drug deal.

19-year-old Ladarrius Warren and 18-year-old Earnest Deaurndra Jackson, Jr. were arrested at their homes Wednesday morning.

These latest arrests bring the total to four people in jail charged with McGill's murder.

According to this arrest affidavit, 19-year-old Ladarrius Warren and 18-year-old Earnest Deaurndra Jackson, Jr. were at the Kensington Place apartments Monday night to buy marijuana.

The arrest affidavit says the two men went to the apartment of Joshua McGill's girlfriend to purchase what they describe as "kush," which is a type of marijuana.

According to the affidavit, Joshua McGill was called to the apartment after that.

The affidavit states McGill showed them "corn," which is another type of marijuana.

The men allegedly left to get some money to buy the marijuana.

Investigators say the men came back and asked McGill to come downstairs with them.

The arrest affidavit says a few minutes later, the people in McGill's girlfriend's apartment heard a loud boom. That's when they went downstairs and found McGill lying in the parking lot.

McGill's girlfriend told police she didn't know either of the men.

The next day, police received a phone call from a woman who said she had information about the shooting.

That woman identified herself as the mother of a girl who was pregnant by LaDarrius Warren.

According to the affidavit, she told investigators that she let Warren borrow her car the night of the shooting.

She says he came back wearing all black clothing and that he was all "hyped up."

The woman told investigators that Warren, while crying, eventually admitted that he shot McGill in the back. She says she encouraged him to turn himself in to police.

The arrest affidavit says later that day, investigators received information that there was another suspect who was 16-years-old.

The affidavit says the teenager admitted to having the murder weapon under his mattress and he was present at the time of the shooting.

Investigators found the shotgun along with a shell inside. The affidavit states that shell matched the same shotgun shell at the scene of the murder.
