Entertainment News: Justin Bieber faces a lawsuit

Posted: Updated:

(CNN) - In Entertainment News, Justin Bieber has a lawsuit on his hands.

A 56 year old photographer, by the name of Jeffrey Binion, alleges the pop star had his bodyguards choke him, threaten him with a gun, and then take his camera's memory card.

Binion is suing Bieber and his bodyguard for theft and battery. Police say he could face criminal charges.

A rep for Bieber had no comment.

(CNN) - Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson is sentenced to 30 days in jail, after patting his attorney on the backside.

The former Dancing With The Stars contestant was in court Monday for violating probation in a domestic violence case.

He was accused of head-butting his then-wife, reality star Evelyn Lozada.

Johnson, formerly known as Chad Ochocinco, was on his way to getting a plea deal with no jail time.

But when he slapped his male attorney on the rear, the judge hit back with 30 days of jail, saying the 35 year old wasn't taking things seriously.

(CNN) - The changes continue at American Idol.

Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe, who had been with the singing competition for all 12 of the show's seasons, is out.

American Idol has gone through some major changes with judges Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Nicki Minaj all leaving the show.

Lythgoe says if the ratings improve with his departure, he'll have no complaints with how things ended.
