Web Exclusive: Honda minivans added to air bag investigation

(CBS) - Law enforcement from San Francisco and New York are holding a smartphone summit this week.  They'll meet with representatives from Apple, Google, Samsung and Microsoft and urge them to create new technology to permanently and quickly disable stolen smartphones -- making them worthless.  Thieves in the U.S. stole phones from an estimated 1.6 million people last year, most of those were smartphones.

The senate votes to expand subsidies to farms in a 5-year, $500 billion dollar program.  The bill subsidizes crop insurance and provides more aid to rice and peanut farmers.  It also cuts $400 million or about a half percent each year from food stamps.  The house still has to vote on its version of the bill. 

More than 300,000 Hondas are being added to a federal probe of faulty air bags.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are investigating Honda Odyssey's from the 2003 and 2004 model years because their airbags can inflate without a crash.  The minivans have the same air bag control computers that have caused Toyota and Chrysler to recall nearly  2-million vehicles.  

Apple unveils several new products at its worldwide developers conference in San Francisco Monday.  CEO Tim Cook showed off a completely redesigned ios operating system for the iPhone and iPad at the annual software developer event. ios 7 includes a slew of major design changes, as well as multi-tasking supports for all apps.  Cook says it's the biggest change to ios since the introduction of the i-phone.  The other big announcement was Apple's long-rumored streaming music service iTunes radio.  The tech giant also revealed an update to its Mac operating system.
