Winnsboro man wins a Fit City Inspiration award for getting fit

Posted: Updated:

Winnsboro (KYTX) -  Bryan Giguere won a Fit City Inspiration award for making small changes that yielded big results.  Bryan says at 35, he's in better shape than he was in his 20's.

"I just wasn't happy with the way I looked," says Bryan Giguere.

35 year old Bryan Giguere felt weighed-down at 242 pounds.  He blames a diet of concession stand food while covering ball games for the Winnsboro News and-late night snacking

"Because I am a real night owl, I would eat say, a bag of chips or even some cookies at night," says Bryan.  Combine that with very little exercise and Bryan knew it was time for a change.
He started boot camp last January that led to Insanity.

"I just come home everyday and start working out," says Bryan.
6 days a week, right in his home, Bryan powers through non-stop intervals of strength, power, resistance and core training with the help of his Insanity and P90X DVDs.

"That's what I like about it, it's intense.  With the Insanity, you don't take a lot of breaks.  It just goes very fast.  Your body just feels it quickly," says Bryan.

But that's not where Bryan's workout ends.  He hits the road after that.  "After an Insanity workout, I will just start walking and then running about 2 miles.  It's a great stress reliever and it is fun," says Bryan,

That keeps Bryan motivated to keep exercising, and hopefully inspire others to Fit City Success.
Bryan stays fueled up for his workouts with protein bars and shakes.  He doesn't follow a specific diet.  He just eats sensibly and in moderation.
