Longview Police search for wanted fugitive

UPDATE: Longview Police are still looking for the man who led them on a lengthy foot chase into the wood Sunday afternoon.

Police say Denny Wayne Jones Jr. was pulled over in the 900 block of West Marshall Avenue after previously lying about his identity when being questioned at a local motel regarding drugs.

Instead of cooperating with law enforcement, Police say Jones ditched his truck in the parking lot of the ABC Auto Parts store, leaving behind a large amount of methampethamine.

Jones is wanted on felony charges for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle out of Harrison County.

Police describe Jones as a white male with a shaved head who was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jean shorts. Jones has tattoos on both arms, one arm has a tattoo of a cross.

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Longview police are looking for a man, and say he's a wanted felon.

Investigators say the man was pulled over this afternoon in the 900 block of Marshall Avenue near ABC Auto, but ditched his truck and ran away into the woods.

Police searched the man's vehicle and had it impounded.
