Entertainment News: Kim Kardashian welcomes baby girl

(CNN) - In Entertainment News, there's a new little Kardashian to keep up with.

 
It's a girl for reality star Kim Kardashian and rapper boyfriend Kanye West. 

The couple welcomed their first child Saturday in Los Angeles. West revealed they were expecting during a December concert in Atlantic City. 

A few weeks ago, Kardashian announced it was a girl during the season premiere of keeping up with the Kardashians. 

Kim's sister Khloe Kardashian Odom tweeted: "I can not even begin 2 describe the miracle that is now a part of our family. Mommy and baby are healthy  and resting. We appreciate all of the love.



(CBS) - The Emmy Awards honored the Best Of Daytime Television.

"Days of our Lives" took home outstanding drama series.

And there was a tie for supporting actor between Scott Clinton of "The Bold and the Beautiful" and Billy Miller of "The Young and the Restless.

"Wayne Brady presented game show icon Monty Hall with a Lifetime Achievement Award during the ceremony.

 And actress Betty White gave one to producer Bob Stewart.

 


 

(CNN) - Superman soars to the top of the weekend box office, shattering a big record along the way.

  "Man of Steel" pulled  in $125 million dollars,  that's a new June opening record formerly held by "Toy Story 3".

   Fellow newcomer, "This Is The End" came it at number two, with more than $20 million dollars in weekend ticket sales.

   "Now You See Me" rounded out the top three at just over $10 million dollars.
