Business News: Gas prices drop

Posted: Updated:

(CNN) - In Business News, drivers are paying a little less at the pumps.

AAA is reporting the national average for regular unleaded gas, has dropped again to $3.62 a gallon.

That's a decrease of seven tenths of a cent in the past week.

Drivers in Hawaii are paying the most for fuel at $4.36 a gallon. And the least in South Carolina at $3.25 a gallon.

The price of gas in Texas is around $3.37.

(CBS) - GM is recalling an additional 200,000 mid-size SUV's.

In August they recalled almost 250,000, but it was limited to those sold in the 20 snow belt states.

This time the recall is nationwide and for the same problem. The power door and window module in the driver's door can catch fire, even when it's not being used.

(CBS) - Closing arguments are scheduled this week in Apple's e-book trial.

The justice department claims that Apple conspired with publishers to fix the price of e-books.

But unlike the five publishers involved, Apple is refusing to settle in the antitrust case.
