Released by Longview Police Department

LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - On June 10 at 8:32 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Forgery in Progress call in the 400 Block of West Hawkins Parkway.

When officers arrived, the store clerk pointed out a subject leaving the location in a 2001 blue Cadillac. The subject, later identified as Therion Edward Nalls, 40, of Longview, had attempted to cash a stolen check from a local business. The officer was able to stop the vehicle which had four occupants.

After further investigation, officers determined that Nalls had attempted to cash the stolen check. The driver of the car, Shuntilla Richardson, had stolen credit cards and checks in her purse.

Nalls and Richardson were both arrested on forgery charges, a state jail felony. Nalls was also arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant. Richardson was also charged with a second degree felony charge of burglary of a habitation and two cases of felony credit card abuse on an elderly person after it was determined the victim was over 65 years of age.

One of the other passengers in the Cadillac was arrested on two misdemeanor traffic warrants. The fourth person in the car was released at the scene.

Both Williams and Richardson also had numerous other warrants when they were booked into the Gregg County Jail. Richardson remained jail Thursday on $198,500 bond plus other traffic fines.
