(KYTX) - The City of Tyler is trying to bring all unresolved warrants to closure by having a "Warrant Special." From July 1 to 13, any person that will pay their warrant in full will have the warrant fees removed. This is savings of up to $50 per warrant.

The special price does not apply if the person was already contacted, or is in custody by the City Marshals or Police, or people appearing before the Judge.

"Past sweeps have been very effective in helping us clear several thousand warrants in a matter of a few days," said Court Administrator Cam McCabe. "We want to get people back on their feet by helping them eliminate their warrants."

Municipal Court will be open on the last day of the special, July 13, from 8a.m to 1p.m to take last minute payments.

Persons wanting to take advantage of this "Warrant Special" must contact the Court at (903) 531-1266 or come by 813 North Broadway 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday.  The warrant prices on the court web site will not reflect the discounted price
