LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Longview Police are still in search of a suspect who stole a SUV with a child asleep inside Sunday night.

At around 10:37 p.m. the driver of a 2007 Dodge Durango stopped at a convenience store in the 1700 block of Mobberly Avenue and went inside while the child slept in the back seat of the running SUV.

While inside, a black male described as thick built, approximately 5'8 to 5'9 wearing a white shirt with a red emblem on the left chest and a design on the back (possibly a Papy John's logo), long black shorts, and white Nike Air Force Ones shoes with black laces, drove away from the store with the SUV and child inside.

The SUV was located a short time later in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Longview.

The child was still asleep and unharmed.

Longview Police are asking for any information in regards to this crime to call (903) 237-1170 or to remain anonymous to call Gregg County Crimestoppers at (903) 236-7867.
