UPDATE at 11:25 a.m.: Oncor officials say power has been restored to most customers in Whitehouse, with the exception of the stores in the shopping center where Brookshire's is located. Tom Trimble, area manager for Oncor, said it could be five or six more hours before power is restored in the center.

--------------------------------

WHITEHOUSE (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) - Oncor workers are trying to restore power to about 209 customers in Whitehouse this morning after a vehicle hit a utility pole.

Whitehouse Police Captain Gary Hinshaw said an 18-wheeler backed into a pole near Brookshire's about 8:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

The incident left about 209 customers without power, and a group is working to fix the situation, said Tom Trimble, area manager with Oncor.

He said the initial estimated time of restoration was 11 a.m., but as of about 10:15 a.m., the estimated time of restoration was 11:30 a.m.

"We're going to try to get everybody back on as quick as we can," Trimble said.
