Driver in Monday's Longview motorcycle wreck dies

UPDATE: Longview police said alcohol was a factor in Monday's one-vehicle wreck. Neither the driver nor passenger were wearing helmets.



 

Longview Police Department:


LONGVIEW (KYTX) - The motorcyclist involved in an accident in Longview Monday died Tuesday from his injuries.

On Monday July 1, 2013 at 9:34 p.m., Longview Police responded to a one vehicle accident in the 900 Block of West Loop 281. When police arrived they found the driver and passenger of a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle lying in the roadway.

According to the investigation the driver, 61-year-old Henery Onias Bolanos of Longview left the parking lot of The Page Pub located in the 900 Block of West Loop 281. Bolanos began to travel west in the east bound lane of the roadway, misjudged the height of the curb, and lost control of his motorcycle.

Bolanos and his passenger, 47-year-old Robbin Lisa Hall were both ejected from the motorcycle and landed in the east bound lane of West Loop 281.

Both were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Bolanos succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, July 2, 2013.
