Suspect arrested for death of woman found on railroad tracks in Tyler

Tyler Police Department:

TYLER (KYTX) - On June 19, 2013 around 5:35 p.m. EMS responded to the area of the railroad tracks on N. Bois D. Arc near the Bus Station on a report of a black woman, identified as Michelle Ingram, 28 of Tyler, who struck her head on the railroad tracks as she and her boyfriend, identified as Rickey Cox,  22, were walking down the tracks. 

On June 21, 2013 at 3:55 p.m. Judge Quincy Beavers pronounced Michelle Ingram dead at East Texas Medical Center and ordered an autopsy to be conducted at Southwest Institute of Forensic Science of Dallas. 

On July 4, 2013 Tyler Police Investigators charged Ricky Cox with Manslaughter, a 2nd degree felony, for the death of his girlfriend Michelle Ingram due to injuries she sustained on June 19, 2013. 

Bond for the charge was set at $50,000.
