Mount Pleasant accident leaves 2 people with life threatening injuries

MOUNT PLEASANT (KYTX) - On Saturday an accident sent two motorcyclists to East Texas Medical Center with life threatening injuries. 

On July 6th, at an intersection outside a Wal-Mart gas station, Robert Viviano, 28, was driving down Jefferson Ave when he made a left turn and collided with motorcyclists , Mark Jones, 63, and passenger, his wife Pamela, 59.

Viviano took evasive actions in attempt to avoid a collision. Jones applied his brakes quickly but lost control and him and his wife were thrown from the bike. They both were not wearing helmets. 

At 10:12a.m. Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to the accident. Both Mark and Pamela Jones were flown to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

 

Robert Viviano was issued a citation for Failure to Yield the Right of Way to oncoming traffic.
