Tyler missing man found safe

UPDATE: Walter James Gray has been found safe. Honey Harrison, with Melrose Nursing Home, tells CBS19 they found him around 6:30 this morning at North Tennaha Church, which is across the street from the nursing home. 

Harrison says Gray followed the railroad tracks down to a convenience store, got something to drink, then followed the railroad tracks back to the church where he fell asleep. 

He woke up when he heard staff from the nursing home looking for him. Walter James Gray was not hurt

 



 

TYLER (KYTX) - The Tyler Police Department is requesting assistance in locating Walter James Gray, B/M, 03-09-1933. 

Walter Gray was last seen at approximately 2:15 a.m. walking away from the Melrose Nursing Home located at 1501 W. 29th St. He was wearing a beige jumpsuit with suede house shoes.

Mr. Gray does have diagnosed mental health issues and other physical ailments that could limit his mobility.  He is approximately 6'0", 160lbs. with gray hair.   

Citizens are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1000 if they should locate Mr. Gray.
