Longview PD needs help identifying 2 men involved in purse snatching scam

Posted: Updated:

Longview Police Department:

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - On July 2, 2013 two unknown males were involved in a "scam" and stole the victim's purse from her vehicle.

The white male started conversation with the victim and eventually asked her if he could purchase some gas for her.  A black male driving a blue 4 door passenger car waited nearby for the other man.

The white male goes into the store and appears to purchase gas. He goes back out to the victim and continues talking to her. When the pump does not turn on, the white male stands by the vehicle, while he sends the victim in to see why the pump hasn't started. When the victim goes inside the white male takes her purse from the vehicle, enters into the blue 4 door car driven by the black male and they leave the location.

If you recognize the subjects below or get a report of a similar incident, please contact Detective Melissa Dobbs at 903-237-1199.
