Longview PD warns of email scam aimed at East Texans

Longview Police Department:

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Texas Bank and Trust employees and customers have reported the following email message has been received in recent days. It is likely a widespread scam aimed at other banks, employees and customers as well. The original email had a "link" in the attachment which you should NOT open due to possible malicious software viruses.

Below is a quote from the email.

"Your Bank password was successfully changed on 07/05/2013. If you did not make this change, or if you have any questions, please contact EBC Technical Support by clicking here.Support is available Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM PST.This is an automated message, please do not reply. Your message will not be received."
