Third person dies in hospital after San Francisco plane crash

Posted: Updated:

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – Another girl has died as a result of injuries sustained during the crash of Asiana Airline Flight 214, bringing the deal toll to three, officials at San Francisco General Hospital said Friday.

The death was announced at a hastily called news conference outside the hospital emergency room just hours after the San Francisco Police Department confirmed that one of the victims who died on Saturday had been run over by a fire truck.

The chief of neurosurgery, Dr. Geoffrey Manley, was expected to release more information about the girl's death later Friday afternoon.
