LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - A 32-year-old Tyler man is in the Gregg County Jail on $36,500 bond today on multiple drug charges.

Longview police responded to the Microtel Inn & Suites on North Access Road late Tuesday on reports of an armed person in the area. When police arrived, a clerk advised that Alvertice Bowdre, who was in the hotel lobby, was one of the people involved in the call to police, according to court documents.

Officers noticed a large bulge in Bowdre's front right pocket during a patdown, and in his pocket, they found 5.6 grams of possible crack cocaine, 2.1 grams of crystal ice meth and 11 grams of Alprazolam, according to court documents.

Bowdre is charged with second degree possession of a controlled substance for the Alprazolam, third degree possession for the crack cocaine, and misdemeanor possession for the meth.
