We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for its workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

(KCEN) -- Australians have reacted angrily to the news that two U.S. Marine Corps jets were forced to drop four unarmed bombs on the country's Great Barrier Reef.

Two jets were in a training mission Tuesday and had planned to drop the bombs on a range in Townshend Island, but the range was not clear.

The jets ran low on fuel and needed to lose the extra weight from their bombs before landing.

However the bombs did not explode when they were released on Australia's Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

But Australians are still upset over the slip up.

"I mean have we gone completely mad? Is this how we look after our world heritage areas now? Letting a foreign power drop bombs on it?" said Larissa Waters, Senator for Australian Greens Party.

In a statement released yesterday, the U.S. 7th Fleet said the bombs were dropped into more than 164-feet of water away from coral to minimize possible danger to the reef.

The U.S. Navy says they will be working with the U.S. Marine Corps and Australian authorities to investigate the incident.
