BEAUMONT (KYTX) -  A man from Port Neches, Texas has been sentenced to federal prison for child pornography violations.

Jeremiah Paul Selman, 34,  was sentenced to federal prison for 78 months by U.S. District Judge Marcia Crone.

In late October of 2011 federal officials searched Selman's home and seized a computer that had more than 600 images of child pornography on it.

In January he was indicted by a federal grand jury and charged with pornography violations and in March of 2013 Selman pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.
