Drugs, cash, and guns seized in connection to possible burglary ring in Bowie Co.

Bowie County (KTBS) - Investigators seize more than $75,000 worth of stolen property in Bowie County.

On Saturday, July 20th, officers issued a search warrant on a home in the Macedonia community.

They seized more than $12,000 in cash, 10 pounds of marijuana, and more than 9 guns and ammunition.

The property is believed to have been stolen from about five different burglaries in the Maud area, including a home near the old Crystal Springs Water park.

Investigators say the guns were buried in the backyard of the house.

"We believe that the owner of that house or resident there was trading the stolen property for marijuana, said David Biggar, Bowie County Sheriff's Investigator.

One arrest has been made, but more arrests are pending.

The victim of one of the burglaries is offering a $10,000 reward for the return of his missing property or the arrests and convictions of the thieves.

If you have any information, contact the Bowie County Sheriff's Office.
