CHEROKEE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE:

On Wednesday July 24, 2013 at approximately 1:00am Cherokee County Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 4000 Block of US Highway 175 west of Jacksonville.

Upon their arrival in the area, Deputies observed three white males walking down Hwy-175 that matched the description of the suspects.  Deputies detained the suspects and brought them back to the residence of the original caller.

Through the investigation it was learned that a male victim (who's name is not currently being released) was approached by the three suspects while he was sitting in his vehicle at a residence on Washington Street in Jacksonville.

The suspects demanded the victim repay money that he owed them.  When the victim told them he did not have the money, the suspects forced him to remove his clothing except his boxer shorts, and then placed him back in his own vehicle, and then drove him to his parents house in an attempt to get the money from them.

The victim was not injured, but was repeatedly threatened during the ordeal.

The three suspects were transported to Cherokee County Jail and each arraigned by Justice of the Peace, Pct 1, Judge Brenda Dominy on the following charges:
Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity - 2nd Degree Felony - Bond set at $30,000
Kidnapping - 3rd Degree Felony - Bond set at $20,000
Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle - State Jail Felony - Bond set at $5,000

Dylan Kyle Masters was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia at the time they were picked up, and was charged with misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All three suspects remain in Cherokee County Jail as of 8:00pm today (07/25/13).
