Business News: Furniture company sticks by Paula Deen

(CBS) - In Business News, at least one company is sticking by embattled Celebrity Chef Paula Deen.

A North Carolina based company says it will continue to market Deen's furniture collection.

Many companies including Food Network, Target and Smithfield Foods cut ties with Deen after she admitted to using a racial slur in the past.



(CBS) - The U.S. steals the show with a new top model in the auto business.

General Motor's Chevrolet Impala tops Consumer Report's list of Best Sedans. It's the first time in 20 years that a U.S. brand has beaten out cars from Germany and Japan in the magazine's ranking. 




(CBS) - The housing market may finally be seeing some stability. Mortgage rates are lower for a second straight week.

According to Freddie Mac the average rate on a 30 year loan fell to 4.31 percent down from 4.37 percent.

While the rate on a 15 year loan declined to 3.39 percent.
