Health Alert: Heart disease overlooked in women

(CBS) - A new report in Global Heart finds that heart disease is still neglected in women, even though it kills at least as many women as men each year.

Doctors say women are less likely to receive advice on aspirin therapy and lifestyle changes which can prevent heart problems.

 




(CBS) - The number of food-related choking incidents in children continues to climb.

A study in the journal Pediatrics shows an average of 34 children a day are taken to the emergency room for choking incidents.

Children under age 4 experienced the highest rate of choking. The biggest culprit was hard candy.

Foods like hot dogs, nuts and seeds were more likely to land a child in the hospital.

 




(CBS) - New research shows video games can be problematic for boys with autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder.

The University of  Missouri study finds boys with autism and ADHD spent more time playing video games.

For some their usage can become addictive.
