Web Exclusive: BMW is going electric for i3

(CBS/CNN) - BMW is the first luxury automaker to enter the electric car market.  The German company is using carbon-fiber materials to keep the car's weight down and improve driving performance.  The new i3 electric compact goes from zero to 60 in about seven seconds and has range of up to 100 miles.  The BMW electric car rolls into U.S. showrooms next year starting at about $46,000 dollars.

Hundreds of fast food workers across the country walked off the job Monday.  The one-day protest was held in major cities like New York and St. Louis.  The protestors are demanding the right to unionize and calling for a raise in the minimum wage from 7 dollars an hour to 15.
Opponents say giving-into their demands would kill jobs.
