TYLER (KYTX) –   Kalee enjoys crafts like making pottery, painting and jewelry making.
"My favorite color is green," she said as she picks up a ceramic cross to paint at Pottery Cafe in Tyler.

This 10-year-old is a sweet and polite girl.  "She's kind, she's so kind and she has a kind heart," said Martha Phillips, her foster mom.

Kalee describes herself as "Nice, and I have a lot of friends."  She is also described as naturally athletic and enjoys playing sports.

"I'd like to try cheerleading," she tells me as she dips her brush in the green paint.

Kalee does well in school and is entering the 5th-grade.  "My favorite subjects are math and art."

After spending time in foster care, this young lady has learned to adapt quickly to new surroundings.

"She's easy-going and has a good sense of humor. She kind of goes with the flow," explained Phillips.

And she is eager to find her forever home.  "I don't care what kind of family, I just want a family."  Kalee goes on to say, "If I could pick, I'd like a country family and I want to live on a farm where there are chickens and horses and stuff."

Kalee's self-esteem has been boosted while in foster care and she's hoping to share her new home with siblings to help her continue to grow and blossom.
