Entertainment News: Lady Gaga declares a music emergency

(CNN) - In the world of entertainment, Lady Gaga declares a pop music emergency.

The singer says she was forced to release her new single "Applause" on Monday, ahead of it's original August 19th release date. Hackers leaked the song over the weekend.

The track is the first from Gaga's forthcoming album, "Artpop,"  slated for release November 11th.


(CNN) - George Lucas adds another offspring to his "force."

The Huffington Post is reporting that the Star Wars creator and wife Mellody Hobson welcomed a daughter last week. The baby girl is named Everest.

Lucas and Hobson married in June.


(CBS) - Broadway is looking for its next Spiderman in Los Angeles.

A casting call was held for the lead role in the Broadway musical, "Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark."

The great White Way's original web slinger, Reeve Carney, is moving on, but was on-hand to help find his replacement.
