Pine Tree Independent School District:

PINE TREE (KYTX) - Pine Tree Independent School District is pleased to announce a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Longview Regional Medical Center (LRMC) for exclusive scoreboard rights at the new Pine Tree Athletic Complex, opening August 23rd.

"Speaking on behalf of the Pine Tree ISD Board of Trustees, we are very excited to partner with Longview Regional Medical Center, "said Board of Trustee President, Charley Peck.  "It is no secret that obtaining funding for our school district is becoming more challenging, but with the help of partners such as LRMC, we are paving the way for innovative and collaborative options to move Pine Tree forward."

"Longview Regional and the Diagnostic Clinic of Longview are proud to support and serve as the exclusive Pine Tree Stadium scoreboard sponsors. Together, this opportunity allows the hospital and the clinic to showcase our loyalty to providing excellent healthcare, right here in Longview for our youth and our community," said Jim Kendrick, Longview Regional Medical Center CEO.

The scoreboard is part of the Pine Tree Athletic Complex, one project among several, which were part of the Pine Tree ISD  $29.9 million bond referendum, which passed in 2011.

"We are very excited to move into the new Pirate Stadium this fall and wish to thank Longview Regional Medical Center for their support of our students and staff," said Dr. TJ Farler, Superintendent of Schools.  "Pirate Stadium is a state of the art venue, which serves as a place where we can gather as a community to watch our students grow."

Superintendent Farler explained the agreement with LRMC includes a multi-year commitment for $450,000 toward the scoreboard project.

We celebrate the coming together of the public and private sectors to help further the cause of public education," said Charley Peck.  "Our goal is to provide the best educational experience we possibly can for our students. I am personally grateful for Mr. Kendrick's  encouragement and vision for this partnership.  I am certain this is just the beginning of many more exciting things to come, that will be of great benefit to LRMC and the Pine Tree community.
