Business News: SEC could set new trading regulations

Posted: Updated:

(CBS) - In Business News, the computer glitch that shutdown Nasdaq could trigger a new round of regulations.

For three hours on Thursday trading stopped on all 3,200 stocks, including Apple, Microsoft and Facebook.

The Securities and Exchange Commission says they'll now push for tighter oversight on all automated trading.

Nasdaq reopened about an hour before the closing bell.

(CNN) - Looking for a quick way to make a quick buck? If so, your old iPhone might be worth a few hundred dollars.

Apple is expected to debut a new iPhone, called the iPhone C, next month. It will reportedly have a fingerprint sensor and come in the color gold.

Gazelle, the on-line trade-in service is paying about $300 dollars for a 16 gigabyte AT&T iPhone that's still in good condition.

(CBS) - Good news for parents of tech savvy kids.

More than half of American teenagers have steered clear of mobile Apps if there were concerns about privacy.

Teens between the age of 12 and 17 have uninstalled an App on their smartphone or tablet after discovering it was collecting some of their personal information.

About 46 percent say they have disabled location-tracking on their devices.
