Cop-Sync 911 gives teachers quick access to near by police officers

Posted: Updated:

(KYTX) - With a push of a button teachers are connected directly to officers.

It's a panic button of sorts on teachers' computers that sends a message to the laptops of the 5 closest patrol cars to the school.

Cop-Sync 911 is set to launch in hundreds of schools by the end of the year.

At $3.33 a day, Teachers have the capability of alerting the closest patrol cars to schools with just a click.

"Personally, I don't think arming me with a gun is the best answer, but the idea that I can instantly communicate with officers that are nearby ... gives me that peace of mind that I thought I had lost forever."

Already 40 school districts and police departments in Texas use the system, and now it's going national.
